Imprinted concrete sealing

Imprinted concrete is a very hard wearing and durable surface often used to lay driveways and patios. Homeowners tend to opt for this type of surface more and more thesedays as it requires less maintenance than block paving.

We are based in Barnstaple in north Devon and specialise in the cleaning and sealing of all types of imprinted concrete driveways and patios.

Imprinted concrete does require less upkeep than block paving and should be re-sealed every 3-5 years to keep it in optimum condition. This will restore the original finish and keep the colouring consistent. If the concrete has been left unmaintained for many years and the surface has lost colour, we can also apply colour tints with the sealer to bring it back close to how it looked when first laid.

Imprinted concrete sealing stages -

1. Pre-treat any surface stains ( tyre marks, oil etc) 
2. Pressure clean the concrete surface and allow time to dry
3. Add colour tint to the sealer if required
4. Broom imprinted concrete sealer over the surface
5. Add mastic to expansion joints if necessary
